That is why getting away from the din of life into the serene natural environs of pristine nature is considered the best way to get you back on your feet. Camping is an outdoor recreational activity. It has become very popular as a leisure time activity. There is also the call of the thrill of adventure. Camping is also cheaper than the rather expensive and sophisticated packaged eco-tourism or nature tourism or adventure tourism offered along with accommodation in expensive resorts, hotels or cabins. The campers leave their everyday life wherever they are. They take off for a few days and nights to a camp site to rough it out. The camp site is usually natural areas or wilderness that are publicly owned or privately owned. They may prefer to be in the open without any shelter, or a crude structure or a tent. The tent can be heavy or light, and in different sizes to meet a variety of needs.

We have taxed nature enough in the past for our progress. Environment scientists have come up with enough data to indicate that we are indeed faced with numerous problems. The world has been experiencing a steady increase in temperature. The rate of this increase too is steadily increasing. Ecosystems adjust to these changes. A habitat that suits a species no longer is suitable to them. They have no other choice except to search for other favorable habitats or perish. The melting of polar ice caps is going to make it difficult for them to hunt the seals. The trout and salmon will no longer find the wetlands and freshwater able to provide them with food.

Every time you set up your child’s play tent, they are always bound to get covered in dust and stains; and when you set them up outside, they are very likely to get covered in mud and stains, especially if there is an inclement weather. That is why, it is always best to keep your child’s play tent at all times.

Camping holds a distinctive place amongst recreational activities. As a leisure time activity, camping does give pleasure to the campers. Much more than that is its impact on the well being of the body and mind. Over and above this, there is this important role of camping providing a possibility of establishing a symbiotic bond with nature. Nature has taken a heavy toll in the name of human progress. Pollution has spread wild over the land, air and water. The forests, rivers and valleys have been destroyed for development and progress. It is now asserted that this cannot go on indefinitely. Species survival, including human survival, is only possible if we change to ecologically sustainable development.
